01Our policy
Noku respects copyright. Scenepacks and audios on Noku are uploaded by approved creators, and we remove material when we receive a valid notice from the copyright owner or someone authorised to act for them. This page explains how to send a notice under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and how uploaders can respond.
02Sending a takedown notice
Your written notice needs to include all of the following, or we may not be able to act on it:
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name works).
- The copyrighted work you believe is being infringed.
- The exact Noku page link(s) for each item you want removed, so we can find it. A link to a whole movie page is fine if you want everything from that title removed.
- Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use isn't authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
03Where to send it
Send notices to our designated copyright agent:
[Agent name]
Noku, Attn: Copyright Agent
[Postal address]
Email: management@noku.gg
Email is fastest. Please put "DMCA notice" in the subject line. Other messages sent to this address about copyright may not get a reply.
04What happens next
When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable access to the material, usually within a few business days, and let the uploader know it was removed and why. We may forward a copy of your notice (including your contact details) to the uploader so they can respond.
05Counter-notices for uploaders
If you're a creator and believe your upload was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The material that was removed and the link where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you're outside the U.S., any judicial district where Noku can be found), and that you'll accept service from the person who sent the original notice.
We'll send your counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice. If they don't tell us within 10 business days that they've filed a court action, we may restore the material within 10–14 business days.
06Repeat infringers
Creators whose uploads are the subject of repeated valid notices will lose upload access, and their accounts may be closed.
07Please be accurate
Under U.S. law (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)), anyone who knowingly makes a false claim in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages. If you're not sure whether something infringes your rights, consider talking to a lawyer first.
